Title: The Knight and the Moth
Author: Rachel Gillig
Series: The Stonewater Kingdom #1

Rating: 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Formats Available: Physical Book, Kindle/e-book, Audiobook
Tropes/Genre: Romantasy, Gothic Romance, Enemies to Lovers, Slow Burn, Magic Systems
Spice Level: 1/5🌶️

Books and stories are meant to evoke emotion, some make you feel more than others. The Knight and the Moth burrows its way into you and becomes a living, breathing entity.

Pictures will be painted for you and you will be transported to every location visited. Characters will become old friends. You will feel everything written in this book. Knight and the Moth is so deeply captivating that by the end, you will be sobbing the name Bartholomew with the rest of us because you’ve become so entrenched in this book that you forget you are not actually located in the Stonewater Kingdom and searching for Omens.

While not high in spice, you will not even need it. It is a slow burn that is paced perfectly.

Truly one of the beautifully written books that I have read and that I will re-read again and again.

Make sure you check out our coverage on the Stonewater Kingdom Duology on the podcast.

Title: Unbound

Author: Ali Hazelwood

Series: Bound & Unbound Book #2

Rating: 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Formats Available: Audiobook

Tropes/Genre: Paranormal Romance, Romantasy, Vampires, Fantasy Novella, Monster Romance

Spice Level: 3/5🌶️

Again, Ali’s Romantasy era is my favorite. Unbound left me craving more. I panicked until the epilogue came on and I got a kernel more.

A testament to how fun this story is- it left me wanting so much more of everything. I want more of Lilit's adventures, her beginnings. More of her past romances. More of what happens after the epilogue. Lilit and Roman are both likeable characters so of course I want more of them.

I will read everything out by Ali that is paranormal and of the fantasy romance sort. I know it will have great spice (again, there is never enough), a surprise in the storyline and it will never be long enough (that’s what she said).

Title: Taken
Author: Elizabeth Stephens
Series: Stand Alone
Rating: 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Formats Available: Physical Book, Kindle/e-book, Audiobook
Tropes/Genre: Sci-Fi Romance, Dystopian, Monster Romance, Post-Apocalyptic Novella
Spice Level: 3/5🌶️

In Taken, we meet Rhen who is the sole preserver of art in the future. Almost 4000 years into the future, a pod error causes her to wake up early. When she ventures out, she meets some weird ass demon type beings that kidnap her.

Rhen's inner monologue is hilarious as she tries to navigate the new version of earth.

When I tell you I screamed with joy when communication was clear, I knew I was in deep and fully invested.

This story was so fun that you cannot put it down. Taken is definitely a top tier dystopian monster romance.

I love Pam and you will too.

Title: Hunted
Author: Kate Asher
Series: Blackwing Hearts Book 1

Rating: 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Formats Available: Physical Book, Kindle/E-book
Tropes/Genre: Why Choose / Reverse Harem, Dark Academia, Dark Romance, Forced Proximity, Assassins, Fiction, Slow Burn
Spice Level: 4/5🌶️

This is the why choose of my dreams! Kate Asher has done it again and created a new obsession.

Hunted by Kate Asher made me laugh, fall in love with not one but THREE men, stressed me out with unpredictability, and kept me wanting multiple scenes to turn x rated but to my dismay, did not.

The FMC Addie is a badass at assassin academy with a spicy attitude and she truly is the luckiest girl when it comes to her MMC situation. She hit the lottery there.

Speaking of, I NEED more Beck, Dek and Van. Their chapters were not nearly long enough. You start to really get to know them and then the damn story ends.

Which means, this is well written because I am hungry for more.

Hunted is captivating and will keep you hooked until you turn the page and realize you’re at the acknowledgments.

Can’t wait for book two already!

Book Release Date: August 15th
